About this page
Eleven categories, each collecting what Dhundo has already priced in it. A category page is a starting point for browsing when you do not have a specific product in mind yet - if you do, searching for it directly will always be faster.
How products end up in a category
Products are classified into these categories after they are read from a store, using the product's own title and, where that is ambiguous, its image. The classification is stored, so a category page is a lookup rather than a search re-run each time you open it.
This is why a category's contents grow over time rather than being complete from the start: a product enters a category once it has been seen and classified, and it is seen when somebody searches for something like it.
What the counts mean
The number on a category is how many products have been classified into it, not how many exist in Pakistan and not how many are in stock right now. It is a measure of what Dhundo has catalogued.
Categories differ widely in depth for the same reason. The ones people search most are the ones that fill up fastest, so mobile and electronics are consistently deeper than books or pharmacy - that is a fact about search behaviour in Pakistan, not a judgement about the categories.
What is in each category
Mobile is phones themselves, across every brand sold here, plus the cases, chargers and screen protectors that go with them. Electronics is the wider gadget category - laptops, headphones and earbuds, monitors, smart watches, tablets, cameras, power banks and gaming hardware.
Fashion covers clothing, footwear, bags and accessories, and it is the category where single-brand stores matter most, because a lawn suit or a pair of sneakers is often sold only by the label that makes it. Home covers furniture, kitchenware, bedding and decor. Beauty covers makeup, skincare, fragrance and hair care.
Sports covers fitness equipment, cricket and football kit and activewear. Books covers fiction, academic titles, children's books and religious texts. Food and grocery covers pantry staples, snacks and drinks. Automotive covers car and bike parts and accessories. Toys and kids covers games and gear for children. Pharmacy covers vitamins, supplements and everyday health items from verified sellers.
Each of those has its own page, and each page shows what has been priced in it so far along with the stores those listings came from.
Category page or search?
If you know what you want, search for it. Search reads your query for intent and goes out to the stores live, so it will find things that have never been classified into a category at all.
Category pages are for the other case - when you want to see what exists at what price before deciding. They are a browse surface built from what has already been catalogued, which makes them fast but never complete.
What a category page is not
It is not a complete catalogue of that category. It is what has been seen and classified so far.
It is not stock-checked. A listed product may be unavailable at the store by the time you click through.
It is not curated by hand. Nothing is promoted into a category, and no store pays to appear more often in one.

Common questions
- Why does a category show fewer products than the count suggests?
- The page shows a ranked page of products rather than everything at once, and loads more as you go. The count is the total classified into that category.
- Can a product be in more than one category?
- Each product is assigned the category that best fits its title, with a confidence score. Borderline items land in one category rather than being duplicated across several.
